Message some brushes, Home Depot have some nice paint brushes with a rubberized handle that work great. Also Black Magic has some detaling brushes, found mine at Walmart $2.00 ea. It looks very overwelming but if you tackle one section at a time, it would not be feel so bad. Remove intake hoses, intake center cover and spray away WD40 and wipe away, use an air compressor to blow away dirt. Do not reuse rags, as they get dirty just throw away and use a clean one. For low areas I've used a window blinds stick (flexible) with a piece of rag attached at the end. It's really not as hard to do as it looks.
Good luck

Grandma was right...
It IS what's on the inside that counts!
